Quick answer: book your Christmas light installation in September or October. Installs start in late October, and most of our Katy calendar fills by mid-November. Booking early gets you the install date you want and lights that glow all season long.
The Katy Christmas light season, month by month
- September: design season. This is the best time for a free design consultation. We walk your property, measure your roofline and plan the look. Plan customers who want design changes let us know by September 30.
- October: booking and the first installs. Install dates fill quickly. Our crews start hanging lights in late October.
- November: the busiest month. Almost everyone wants lights before Thanksgiving, so the calendar is fullest here. Most of our dates are spoken for by mid-November.
- December 1 to 15: the last installs. We keep installing through December 15, with fewer open dates.
- January: takedown. We take everything down, label it and store it until next season. See how removal and storage works.
Why booking early pays off
- You pick the date. Early bookings get first choice of install days, including the popular weeks before Thanksgiving.
- More glow for your money. Lights that go up in early November shine for the whole season, not just the last two weeks.
- Room for weather. Texas fall weather can push installs back a day or two. An early date leaves plenty of buffer.
- Time to get the design right. A custom design, measured and cut to your home, is easier to plan without a rush.

Booking early doesn't mean your house has to glow on Halloween. Every install includes a timer, so if you'd rather wait to switch them on, just ask and we'll set it up with you.
